Western Otome

This is used to describe a more casual type of Lolita fashion popular internationally, especially in the west. Outfits often feature jumperskirts but without petticoats, and are instead worn with sweaters, mary janes, frilly socks, and other feminine pieces. Due to its more casual style, Japanese coined the term western otome to refer to the style.
