This emerged as a type of Art Deco architecture in the 1930s and was inspired by an aerodynamic design with curving forms, long horizontal lines, and nautical elements. Likewise, fashion inspired by this movement often contain long continuous silhouettes, whether from long flowing pants and skirts or a suit set with a matching color and pattern.
