Vintage British Sportsman
Vintage British sportsman describes the dress of British nobility playing sport on rural estates, taking in hunting, shooting, and equestrian pursuits, and it became the basis for much of what preppy and old money aesthetics later borrowed. Newsboy caps sit on top. Collared shirts and ties go underneath. Waxed cotton jackets and sweater vests layer over them, with tweed throughout. Corduroy trousers cover the bottoms, held by suspenders. Wellington boots or oxfords go below.
