Yuppie
This is short for "young urban professional" and was coined in the 1980s for a young professional working in a city, with yuppies receiving backlash due to gentrification. These were typically white collar workers, so outfits typically consisted of suits, often with shoulder pads. This includes both pantsuits and skirt suits, and was typically in traditional colors like black, navy blue, and grey, but is also sometimes featured in bolder colors, as was trendy in the 1980s.
