Teddy Boys
This was a British youth subculture originating in the early 1950s, which was revived in the 1970s by those interested in rock and roll and R&B music. They were inspired by dandy styles from the Edwardian period, often wearing drape jackets (similar to zoot suits) often in dark shades with velvet trim, high waist drainpipe trousers, high-necked, loose-collared white shirt, bolo tie, and brocade waistcoat. Shoes often included polished oxfords, chunky brogues, and brothel creepers.
