Poppare emerged in 1990s Sweden, defined by its connection to indie pop and rock and shaped by 1960s Mods and Britpop. Three variations sit under it. Panda Poppare keeps a strict black and white palette and leans heavily mod. Glitter Poppare runs colorful and playful with Decora influences. Hakan Poppare takes its cues from sailors.
