Neue Slowenische Kunst

Neue Slowenische Kunst is German for New Slovenian Art, a movement formed in 1984 in Slovenia while it was still part of Yugoslavia. Symbols from totalitarian or nationalist movements appear throughout, used in a kitsch register. Outfits drawn from it stay simple. Plain trousers and trenchcoats carry them, in greys and blacks.
