Radical Surrealism

Radical surrealism was a design aesthetic popular from the late 1960s to the early 1980s, mixing pop art with surrealist styles. Oversized versions of everyday household items were a recurring device. The style reading plays with proportion directly. Daily objects appear on clothing in strange ways, motifs like large eyes, clocks, or candles blown up in scale. Outfits get distorted too, given huge shoulders or hips.
