Art Singulier
Art singulier is a French outsider art movement celebrating raw, unmediated creative expression by self-taught and marginalized artists working outside institutional art systems, related to Art Brut and emerging from 1970s French art criticism. The fashion it influences values handmade, idiosyncratic, intensely personal expression. Garments are hand-painted or embroidered. Naive or folk-art imagery covers the prints. Construction is deliberately imperfect, accessories are found objects, and the whole approach is personal rather than trend-driven.
