Nu Brutalism
Nu-brutalism emerged in the early 2010s as a design aesthetic of heavily contrasting colors, grotesque typefaces, and an emphasis on the structure of typography. Outfits stay close to monochromatic. White, black, and grey make up the palette, sometimes with a hint of muted green. Cuts run strange or deliberately unflattering. Washes resemble concrete, and draping, headscarves, and harsh motifs complete the effect.
