Modernisme

Modernisme, also known as Catalan Art Nouveau, began in the late 19th century as a largely architectural movement, and in dress it marked a move away from Victorian tradition. Natural forms and naturalism carry it. Simplicity and minimalism are the emphasis, and both dominate the modern reading of the aesthetic.
