Memphis Design
Memphis design emerged in the 1980s from work by The Memphis Group, a design and architecture collective, blending art deco with pop art through bold colors and prints. Clothing follows the same logic. Bold or neon colors carry it. Flat pop-art designs cover the fabric, often flowers or hearts. Abstract designs, stripes, and geometric patterns run throughout.
