Suburban Gothic

Suburban gothic is a subgenre of gothic fiction and art focused on the anxieties produced by suburban communities from the 1950s onward. Outfits carry typical gothic elements, dark colors and Victorian references among them. What distinguishes it is what those sit against: ordinary suburban clothing like denim, sweatshirts, and t-shirts.
