New Wave Tropical

This aesthetic was prevalent from the late 1970s-mid 1990s and featured vibrant, color, tropical, and rainforest imagery with freeform visual experimentation. There were sometimes chunky irregular color shapes that gave a collaged appearance. Outfits inspired by this aesthetic often feature bright colors and tropical prints, often abstracted or mixed with prints like animal print. Dresses, flowing tops, sarongs, and layering are common.
