This style emerged in the 1980s, and was shaped by rock and roll, blending together edgy aesthetics and over-the-top glam. Outfits often included leather jackets often with studs and patches, distressed denim, spandex and tight leather pants, band tees, big hair, spiked bracelets, studded belts, fingerless gloves, boots, and high top sneakers.
