Takenokozoku
As a style, this refers to the brightly colored, baggy outfits worn by dancers in Harajuku during the 1970s-1980s. They danced traditional dances from Shinto festivals and those popular from hippie/countercultural movements and disco. They often wore Harem suits, which was a jumpsuit with harem-like pants and worn loosely. They were made in bright colors like red, pink, and violet, and often of cheap, gaudy materials.
