This is a Japanese aesthetic, where the wearer tries to emulate the style of the idealized image of boys in fiction, regardless of gender. Styles vary, as the wearer is recommended to take inspiration from a favorite bishounen work or character. Common pieces include a collared blouse, trousers, a vest, blazer, ribbon ties, sock garters, and suspenders. Common colors are typically kept simple and monotone with neutral tones, jewel tones, and navy, and patterns are rarely used.
