Uchuu Kei
Uchuu kei is Japanese for space style, a street fashion subculture that grew out of fairy kei in the early 2000s, keeping the playful childlike spirit while adding space and alien motifs. Soft colors fuse with fluorescent and neon, alongside cool tones in deep blues and purples and metallic silver or black. PVC, vinyl, glitter, holographic, and glossy fabrics carry the materials. Metallic tutus and cropped shirts with space patterns make up the core. Oversized sweaters or jackets layer over them. Leggings or patterned knee-high socks and vinyl legwarmers cover the legs, with fluffy accessories and space-motif pieces throughout.
