Uchuu Kei

This is Japanese for "space style" and is a street fashion subculture that emerged out of Fairy Kei, maintaining a playful, childlike spirit but incorporating space and alien motifs. It emerged in the early 2000s and fuses soft colors with fluorescent or neon colors and cool tones in deep blues and purples and metallic silver or black. Clothes often utilize PVC, vinyl, glitter, holographic, and glossy fabrics. Common pieces include metallic tutus, cropped shirts with space patterns, oversized sweaters or jackets, leggings or patterned knee-high socks, vinyl legwarmers, fluffy accessories, and accessories with space motifs.
