Pastel Southwestern

Pastel southwestern was a design aesthetic popular from the early 1980s to the mid-1990s, fusing southwestern styles with a pastel palette. Kokopelli, the geometric patterning drawn from Indigenous art, was popular alongside it. Outfits keep the pastel colors throughout. Long flowing skirts, dresses, and tops carry the southwestern shapes. Cowboy boots go below. Side-brimmed hats sit on top, with Indigenous-inspired patterns or florals across the fabric.
