Netart began in 1994 as an internet artist collective and refers to art that uses the internet itself as a medium. Its subgenres range across art for social and political ends, hacker culture, and critique of the art world. Outfits drawn from it carry internet and tech-inspired pieces. Patterns and colors get combined in eccentric, unusual ways.
