This began in 1994 as an internet artist collective, and refers to art that uses the internet as its medium. It has many subgenres including use of art for social and political means, hacker culture, and critiquing the art world. Outfits inspired by the aesthetic include internet and tech inspired pieces, and eccentric, unique combinations of various patterns and colors.
