Majismo is an 18th and 19th-century Spanish aesthetic of traditional folk dress and national pride, an expression of Spanish romantic nationalism. Traditional Spanish folk garments carry it. Maja dresses arrive in polka dots or bright florals. Mantilla lace veils cover the head. Flamenco-influenced silhouettes shape the rest, with fan accessories completing Goya-era Spanish national dress.
