Aetherpunk

Aetherpunk is a speculative retrofuturistic aesthetic imagining a world powered by mythical 'aether' rather than steam or electricity, with fantastical flight, floating islands, and luminous energy at its center. Steampunk is the obvious comparison, though aetherpunk runs lighter and more mystical, drawing on 19th-century scientific romanticism and high fantasy. Pearl-white or sky-blue structured coats carry faintly luminous trim. Ornate goggles fitted with iridescent lenses sit above high-collared silk or brocade blouses. Layered skirts suggest flight and lightness, and jewelry incorporates glowing or frosted glass elements.
