2014 girly is a Tumblr and early Instagram feminine aesthetic from roughly 2013-2015, combining pastel hair, chokers, crop tops, and high-waisted everything into a distinctly mid-2010s identity. The moment it captures came just before Instagram aesthetics splintered. Pastel-dip-dyed or ombre hair is the clearest marker. Velvet or ribbon chokers sit at the throat. Cropped tops pair with high-waisted shorts or skater skirts, over platform sandals or sneakers. Delicate layered necklaces and simple gold jewelry are worn in multiples, alongside circle-frame or cat-eye sunglasses.
