Grunge

Grunge is the anti-fashion aesthetic of the 1990s Seattle music scene, built on flannel, ripped jeans, and a deliberately disheveled appearance, born from punk and alternative rock in rejection of mainstream consumerism and polished perfection. Ripped jeans cover the bottoms. Flannel shirts and band tees make up the tops. Oversized cardigans and distressed denim jackets layer over them. Doc Martens go below, with simple silver jewelry throughout.
