Giscardpunk is a French retrofuturist aesthetic imagining the futures of the Giscard d'Estaing era, a niche built on a specific moment in French political history. 1970s French retrofuturist clothing carries it. Giscard-era tailoring supplies the base, given speculative elements. French intellectual aesthetics run alongside it, in the register of 70s European futurism.
