Chinoiserie
Chinoiserie is a French term for European interpretations of Chinese artistic traditions. In modern fashion it describes the combination of traditional Chinese and Western dress. Traditional Chinese prints, clothing pieces, or silhouettes get paired with Western garments, or worn in ways that depart from traditional use.
