An avant-garde Belgian fashion aesthetic associated with the group of graduates from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp who burst onto the London fashion scene in 1986 — including Martin Margiela, Dries Van Noten, and Ann Demeulemeester. Known for deconstructed tailoring, intellectual rigor, and a rejection of trend cycles.
