Post Grunge Maximalism
Post-grunge maximalism emerged in the mid-2000s as a fusion of post-grunge, hard rock, nu-metal, and tattoo culture. The result is heavily embellished and hyper-masculine. Embellished t-shirts carry it, built on a muted color base. Motifs run to skulls, crosses, angel wings, eagles, daggers, and fleurs-de-lis. Foil printing, rhinestones, flocking, and embroidery apply them.
