Mallsoft is a vaporwave subgenre built on shopping mall ambience and nostalgia for consumer space, romanticizing dead mall environments. Late-20th century mall culture supplies the clothing. Wet Seal-era garments carry it. Food court-adjacent casual pieces fill out the rest, in a dreamily melancholic suburban consumer register.
