Goth is a dark alternative subculture of black clothing, Victorian influence, and morbid romanticism, originating in the 1980s post-punk music scene and built on darkness, individuality, and gothic literature. Black maxi skirts cover the bottoms. Corsets shape the body. Lace gloves cover the hands. Fishnet stockings and platform boots go below, with choker necklaces, black lipstick, and Victorian-inspired garments throughout.
