Fairy Kei

Fairy kei is a Japanese Harajuku style drawn from 1980s children's pop culture, My Little Pony, Care Bears, Rainbow Brite, and Barbie among its sources. A pastel palette runs throughout, and outfits are built to look fluffy or floaty. Loose A-line dresses and fluttery petticoats carry the shape. Fluffy sweaters and over-sized sweatshirts layer over them. Mokomoko accessories and stuffed animals sewn onto bags finish it. Motifs run to unicorns, kittens, vintage 80s toys, moons, stars, rainbows, and sweets.
