Camp
Camp is a deliberately exaggerated, theatrical aesthetic celebrating artifice, irony, and queer sensibility, theorized by Susan Sontag in 1964 and treating 'bad taste' as sophisticated cultural commentary. Exaggeratedly theatrical pieces are the baseline. Sequined gowns and feather boas do the heavy work. Dramatic headpieces and elaborate costumes push it further, with maximalist accessories throughout.
