Bardcore began as medieval-style covers of modern songs, an internet trend that reimagines pop music as Renaissance fair material. The clothing follows the same anachronistic logic. Linen tunics are the base garment. Monk and peasant clothing gets reimagined alongside them. Accessories are medieval, period-accurate or roughly approximate, and the overall register is historical folk.
