B-boy is the foundational street fashion of hip-hop breakdancing culture, born in the South Bronx in the early-to-mid 1970s alongside DJ culture and graffiti writing as one of hip-hop's four core elements. Every piece has to move with acrobatic dance while still expressing community identity and individual style. Tracksuits or matching athletic separates by Adidas or Puma are the uniform.
