Analog horror is an internet horror microgenre that borrows the visual language of VHS tapes, educational films, public access television, and analog broadcast media to produce something uncanny and deeply unsettling. Online series like 'The Mandela Catalogue' and 'Local 58' popularized it. In clothing the palette runs dark, mostly black or dark red, though cream turns up too. Pieces are combined in unconventional or uncanny ways, so the outfit reads as out of place or out of time.
